Samsung’s Windows Quick Share app is available in the Windows store

Samsung Quick Share app is an app that lets you share files seamlessly between Samsung devices. Now the app is now on the Windows Store, allowing you to share files from your Samsung mobile device to your Samsung computer. The Quick Share Windows app is pretty nifty software

One of the main issues with doing business on multiple devices is transferring files between these devices. It becomes even more difficult when these devices are running different operating systems. Samsung aims to alleviate this problem with its Quick Share app.

It is an application that allows you to quickly and easily transfer files between your Samsung devices. This eliminates the need to dig into Bluetooth settings or use external services like Google Drive or Dropbox.

Having this app on the Windows platform breaks the barrier between Windows and Android. While there are around a thousand different ways to transfer files between computers and phones, Quick Share offers a simple and unified method of transferring files.

A screenshot of Aggiornamenti Lumia shows that you can share files between multiple devices and contacts that you have saved. There is also the option of simply dragging and dropping files onto the device you want to receive.

The app will work on a selected (and limited) group of Galaxy devices

While Quick Share looks like a versatile tool, there is a downside. According to the XDA developers, there is a fairly limited selection of devices that can use it. Firstly, it can only work with Samsung devices. It’s not a big deal for people who are in the Samsung ecosystem, but others will be really disappointed.

Second, the number of Samsung devices that can use Quick Share is also quite small. Galaxy device cannot be on Android version earlier than Android 10. They must also be running OneUI version 2.1 or higher.

Android 10 users must have MDE Service Framework 1.1.37 or higher installed. As for Android 11 users, they must have MDE Service Framework 1.2.11 or higher installed. For both versions of Android, the device must have Quick Share version 12.1.0 or higher.

Galaxy Books released in May 2021 will be compatible with the app. This goes for the Galaxy Book Go, Galaxy Book Pro, and Galaxy Book Pro 360.

This limits the number of users who can capitalize on such an enticing tool. However, if you are in the Samsung ecosystem and have compatible devices, the Quick Share Windows app should be a great addition to your business operations.
