Microsoft this week revealed the new features of the latest Windows App SDK 1.1 specially created to help developers create native, attractive and modern Windows applications. New features in the latest Windows App SDK 1.1 include several new and updated features in its component along with lots of stability improvements as well as WinUI 3 apps are now able to use Mica & Background Acrylic materials. Packaged, sparse, and unpackaged MSIX apps can now send Windows app notifications (also known as toast notifications) and push notifications to let users know when they’re not currently using the app. WinAppSDK 1.1 removes constraints from version 1.0 that prevented running an application as administrator. C# applications will see significant performance improvements in many different scenarios thanks to updates to the WinRT interoperability layer.
