ClickInstall Windows 2.0 creates an installation process for any Windows application

Henderson, NV, September 29, 2021 – (PR.com) – ClickInstall Windows 2.0 makes it easy to create modern, highly customized installers for Windows computers based on Microsoft Software Installer (MSI) technology. The installation process can run a custom executable before and after installation or before uninstallation. The installation process can copy, create, and delete files and folders, or run shell commands to perform a complex installation process. The downloaded installation files can optionally be deleted at the end of the installation process.

A good installer can reduce support costs, simplify and personalize the user experience, enhance security, and make a good first impression. ClickInstall Windows creates a 32-bit or 64-bit software installer that runs on any Windows computer. Applications, libraries, and the installer itself can be code-signed during the build process, which adds credibility to users, web browsers, and antiviruses.

Include an Uninstall button or let the user uninstall from Control Panel. Registry entries added during the installation process are removed when the application is uninstalled. Use the automatic uninstall feature to remove an old detected version before installing a new version of your application. Display a progress indicator during the installation process.

To personalize the user experience, check the minimum operating system and RAM requirements before installation, present operating system specific messages or notes before and after installation. Take the user to your online registration, tutorial, or intro video when the setup process is complete. Add security to an installer with an installer password or bind the installer to a USB dongle that must be present to run.

A simple installation screen is presented with a custom logo, icon and background image. Include an optional web link, copyright notice, license agreement with required confirmation, help, or release notes.

An executable can run before installation to confirm prerequisites or after installation to perform custom actions. The uninstallation process can also run an EXE file to clean or save data created after the original installation to ensure a clean uninstallation process. A custom executable can easily communicate with the installer to enable completion before continuing with the installation process.

The title of the installer window, buttons, and other text seen by the user can be customized for any human language with Unicode text encoding. The installer can add desktop or Start menu shortcuts to installed applications and files. Apply a custom icon to the generated installation file.

ClickInstall contains up to 200 records, each containing the information needed to create an installer. Select a record and click to generate an installer. Use the batch build feature to generate installers for multiple products or editions.

ClickInstall Windows generates royalty-free installers for any number of products with a one-time license fee of $ 395. MacOS ClickInstall users can now take the same approach on Windows to set up and create a professional installer in minutes. The product includes a user guide in PDF format, a short tutorial and an online demonstration video.
