Learn how to detail a car with faded, scratched, paint. I will show you how to do paint correction by hand, how to remove swirl marks, how to restore faded trim, how to restore headlights, and finally how to fix sun damaged paint. I got this car for $500 and it wasn't running and was super dirty. Now the car runs and looks dripping wet!
Website I found the car on:

  • Hopefully you guys like the video! It's basically 4-5 videos in one with tons of info on how to get your car clean! So we can avoid the same comments over and over, check the description for all the links! Also, yes, ChrisFish is me, and not an impostor. It is my second channel I will start this year for when I go fishing, which I love to do. It is my way of still "working" and not feeling bad about going out fishing instead of filming, editing, or answering comments. Now I can do both! Here is the detailing products I used: Ceramic Coating: Compound: Polish: Wax/Sealant: Buffing Microfiber Pad:

    • @ChrisFix what a great job with advice that you shared for free. Thank you. I have a question. I just bought a used 2013 Mercedes C class 4matik sedan only 33000 miles can you believe it? I absolutely love it and the inferior interior was kept in wonderful condition as well. So I have a question for you. There are a few tiny white spots on the hood and doors. Not many but a she has to be perfect. It's a Mercedes after all 😇 And well silly me decided the driver's door wasn't perfect enough to protect when I went pulled up to a drive-up window and dropped my cc. I went forward to see where the card was. But I went too far forward... with my car door open 😫😖😳 This entire time, my driver's side door was open. 😓🤦🏽‍♀️ When I backed up, the inside of the car door scraped the brick a little... now there are a few white spots on the door where it closes 😢 many tears.. So basically, besides repair paint, can gently sand the nicks > paint it > then buff and polish it for a smoother finish? 😰 or are my hopes to smoothly paint and finish it not an option.? The other question is, do you have a video that explains how to get rid of a tiny, barely noticeable dent on the hood of the car and the other white nicks that are here and there? I hope I'm making sense and sure the explanation wasn't necessary. But she's my gently used new car. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

  • I'm gonna be spray painting a panel that's had pieces of the colour layer chip off (just to prevent rust) but I don't have any primer or clear coat. I don't care much about appearance as long as it's functional, but I was wondering how long the paint will take to cure without the clear coat (is it still 30 days)?

  • Thank you! This is really great info, one of the best videos on the topic. Thanks for your time on this and attention to details. I used this process on a car a bought a couple of months ago that was slightly faded (and oxidized in some places), and it looks way better now. I do have a question (and I apologize if you covered this): I have several spots where the clear coat is peeling, but the paint underneath looks completely fine (prior owner just didn't keep it polished/waxed, and the peeling looks like it just started fairly recently before I bought it). Can I just sand down the area around each peel spot, even it out some, then apply clear coat (without going through the trouble of applying primer and paint)?

  • @ChrisFix perfect video, you describe things simply and I can understand you. Excellent 👏🏽👏🏽 Plus the added bonus is that you share this info freely. You're at the top of my worth watching list! Well I thought I sent you an inquiry, I hope you received it because it was a long explanation for me to write again. I don't see it so probably not 😆😁 I just bought a 2013 Mercedes C-class 4matik sedan and accidently scraped the paint on the edge of the driver's door (kinda like what you shared in this video) . It's better that you don't know why if you really didn't get my comment So can I gently smooth that area with sand paper before I paint it? Use the rubbing alcohol to clean it and apply the paint and buff it and add the shine to it? Also, can I do the same thing on any nicks in the paint. There are only 3, but I want to smooth those out as well. And a small dent in the hood that only I and God can see. Is there a way to fill it or pop it out? If you could please answer my questions that's great. If not that's fine too 🙂 Thanks again and again for this video.

  • That meguiars compound and polish is no joke. I originally did my car with the 105/205 pair and just couldn’t get what I wanted.. went to this compound, polish and liquid wax and it really gave the car a wet black look and did amazing on the scratches and swirls. Edit: wow dude that painted panel turned out awesome!!!!!!
